What's involved in the Inspection and Testing 2391 Course?
Electrical Theory
Our learners first develop the core knowledge needed to correctly inspect, test, and verify electrical installations to required standards. Firstly, they learn essential health and safety requirements related to inspection and testing. Additionally, they understand dead and live testing principles used across electrical installations. Furthermore, they learn how to correctly code existing electrical installations. Finally, they develop skills to accurately verify and interpret inspection and testing results.

This combined course is primarily aimed at electricians, who carry out a range of inspections and testing on new and existing installations.
You should be able to work with minimum supervision and have a good record of safety, fault correction and ensuring work meets the required standard.
This inspection and testing course prepares candidates for initial verification and periodic inspection and testing on single and three-phase electrical installations.
The course will include theory and practical lessons on inspection, testing, verification, and certification of electrical installations.
The course will last 7 days, which includes 5 days of learning in our classroom and workshop.
There will be a 2 hour online multiple choice exam and 4 hour practical exam taken on the afternoon of the 6th and 7th day.
This testing and inspection 2391 course will teach you the principles, practices and legislation for the initial verification and periodic inspection of electrical installations of existing electrical installations with statutory and non-statutory regulations and requirements.
The 2391 qualification is a requirement to become a Quality Supervisor for an electrical contractor, registered with a competent person scheme such as NICEIC or Napit. It is also a pre-requisite to obtain the Approved Electrician JIB Gold card.
