Here at Electrical Courses Ltd we specialise in what we call the Electrical Improver route, also known as the Adult trainee route which has a slightly different set of Electrician Courses but with the same outcome as an Apprenticeship.

The qualifications to become a qualified Electrician

You are probably under the impression already that the qualifications required to become a qualified Electrician is a bit of a minefield! Ideally to become a qualified Electrician you should go down the old traditional route of a 4 year Apprenticeship with your local FE College. The problem is not everyone who is interested in becoming an Electrician is 16 years old (with no or little financial commitments). The Electrical Courses Improver route

Step 1 - Level 2 Diploma

This is your first step to becoming an Electrician. This course teaches learners all about the basic theory and practical skills of being an Electrician.

Step 2 - Level 3 Diploma

This course teaches learners more advanced Electrical principles and design. It will also include Testing and fault diagnostics of Electrical Installations

Step 3 - NVQ 3 Portfolio

The final course is the work based NVQ Portfolio. This involves the learners gathering evidence in a real job and building an online portfolio.

Electrical Courses Ltd is a private training centre situated in Cambridgeshire, specialising in delivering qualifications for anyone aspiring to become an Electrician and for already qualified Electricians looking to update or progress in their own skills and knowledge. We also offer the AM2/AM2S and AM2E assessments.

From start to finish, the course was incredibly well-organized and informative. Alan and Neil were both brilliant,  not only focused on helping me pass the exam, but they also took the time to ensure I understood the more intricate concepts of electrical inspection and testing. Their clear explanations and practical approach made a complex subject much more approachable. I walked away feeling confident and well-prepared, both for the exam and for real-world application. I recently completed the 2391-52 Testing and Inspection course, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The guys running the course were absolutely amazing – knowledgeable, approachable, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure everyone understood the material. The course itself was really well structured, combining theory and hands-on practice in a way that made even the tricky parts much easier to grasp. From the start of the course to the end, the course was ran with great depth and with 1st class informative instruction. 2391-52 is widely said to be one of the most intense electrical courses within the industry and the pass rate isnt successful, however this was.
